We allow you to update your site 24/7 using an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Client. This is a program which allows you to connect to our server and upload your files. Town USA will set you up with a Free Linux file manager or you can use FTP software.
This will allow you to update your Web Site yourself. We provide a free file manager on all lunix hosting through the web console.
We are redundantly connected (Redundant 3-OC3 Internet connections) to the Internet backbone via OC 48 UUNET and Teleglobe, the largest Internet Service Providers in the world. This means speed and reliability should not be a concern of yours.

Transfer |
Data transfer is affected by two things:
the number of visitors to your site, and the amount of data your
site pushes to those visitors. If you have lots of visitors, lots of
data (pictures, videos, and sound are typically large data files),
or both, your data transfer numbers will be higher. This is the total amount of data (including graphics and HTML web pages) which can be uploaded and downloaded from your site each month. It is a rough estimator of how many visitors your hosting plan can accomodate. For example, on an average size website with a moderate amount of graphics, it has been our experience that 750 megs of transfer can accomodate well over 4,000 visitors per month.
