DNS - Domain Name Servers:
What is DNS - Domain Name Servers and how does it work.
The basic method which allows a Domain Name to lead customers to your web site
is shown below. This diagram describes a request made by a customer's web browser
as he attempts to log onto your site.
To determine which primary name server contains your Domain Name Records, a
local name server contacts the root domain name server maintained by the InterNIC.
The root domain name server then returns the IP address of the primary name
server responsible for the domain being requested.
The primary name server becomes the next machine contacted by
the local name server.
The primary name server holds the IP address for the domain name and
satisfies the the local name server's request.
Then the local name server can finally return to the web browser with
the IP address.
Using the IP address, the web browser can then contact the company's web server
andretrieve your web pages.

3. Add users to the groups
We have a web based administration utility which allows you to create users, groups and set up access authorization.

Domain Aliasing:
Someone simply types in your new address
(http://www.newdomain.com) and his browser automatically sends him to your primary web
site (http://www.primary.com). The redirection is performed at DNS level and does not
involve any CGI script, meaning it's fast, reliable and will work with any web browser.
Due to the fantastic speed of our servers there is absolutely minimal delay involved and
what's more - your original address will still work perfectly too! This is simply an
alias; it doesn't change or alter your existing address or web site in any way at all.
Furthermore, since Domain Alias is implemented on Domain Name Server, so all ftp
connections are forwarded to your domain name and e-mails are delivered to your mailbox
associated with your domain name (someone@mail.primary.com).

Directory Aliasing:
If you want different domain names point to different directories of your web
site, then you need DIR Aliasing. For DIR aliases, we assign a unique IP address
and create a folder in your root directory, as the home directory of DIR Alias.
Ftp connections and e-mails are routed to the your main domain.
Ex: http://www.newdomain.com points to http://www.primary.com/newdomain
E-mails sent
to anyone@newdomain.com is routed to anyone@primary.com
Return to Hosting Plans
Sub Domain:
A sub-domain is just like directory aliasing with the exception that instead of
http://www.newdomain.com pointing to http://www.primary.com/newdomain ,
this time http://newdomain.primary.com points to http://www.primary.com/newdomain. Basically, the difference is you don't
need another domain name but instead you choose a sub-domain. For sub-domains,
we assign another IP address and assign a directory in your domain as the home
directory of your sub-domain's web site.
